William P. Messenger

William Messenger — the chaplain at University of Southern California — was placed on administrative leave in 2005 while USC and the archdiocese conducted an investigation into sexual abuse allegation.  Messenger served at USC starting in 1993.   Before joining USC’s Catholic Center, he served five parishes in Los Angeles, Long Beach and Alhambra.
