Fresno Diocese Sexual Abuse

Historic Day!!  New Law for Abuse Survivors Regardless of Current Age!!  On October 13, 2019, Governor Newsom signed Assembly Bill 218, a new law that gives all survivors of childhood sexual abuse, regardless of their current age, a three year “window” to file a civil lawsuit for the abuse they suffered.  This “window” could be significantly shortened if a defendant files for bankruptcy, so please contact us right away for a free, confidential consultation to learn your options under this new law!!

The Associated Press published a story on the new law that features one of our attorneys, Michael T. Pfau, and one of our clients who survived abused in the Boy Scouts (he decided to speak out and be interviewed).  You can read the story by clicking here.

We represent dozens of people who survived sexual abuse in the Catholic Church in California.  The attorneys listed on this website have a significant amount of experience helping survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and we currently represent dozens of people who will be filing claims against the Catholic Church in California under the new law.  If you or someone you love was sexually abused by a priest or someone else associated with the Catholic Church, please contact us to learn about the new law and to ensure your rights are protected.  We provide a free, confidential legal consultation.

Priests Accused of Abuse in the Diocese of Fresno:  More than 10 priests within the Diocese of Fresno have been the subject of allegations of childhood sexual abuse, although many of the allegations were not investigated because of California’s outdated statute of limitations for abuse survivors.

The following list of priests who have faced abuse allegations was compiled from different sources, including news reports.  Please know some of the allegations are disputed by the individuals listed below.  Where possible we have provided a summary of the allegations and a list of the individual’s known assignments.

By default the list below is sorted by the priest’s last name.  You can also sort the list by first name.

Please know the list is not intended to be exhaustive — there are likely priests and others in the Diocese of Fresno who abused children but who are not listed below.  We have represented many people who were abused by priests that were not identified by the Catholic Church as “credibly accused,” so do not be discouraged from coming forward if the priest who abused you is not listed below.

If you or someone you love was sexually abused by a priest within the Diocese of Fresno, please contact us for a free, confidential consultation to learn your legal options under the new law.  You are not alone.
