John V. Farris
Ordained: 1949
John (Jack) Farris’s first assignment after his ordination was at St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, where Farris became a teacher at Queen of Angels Seminary (now Alemany High). Church officials say he was accused of molesting a minor from 1951-54. Beginning in 1957, Farris served at a series of parishes in Missouri.
The Los Angeles Archdiocese personnel file also shows major issues with alcoholism throughout entire career and hospitalization at least twice for treatment. He was sued in 2003 and died the same year.
