Santino Casimano
Ordained: 1975
In 2004, Father Santino A. Casimano resigned as the interim principal of a Connecticut high school when a lawsuit was filed by two brothers alleging that he sexually abused them in the late 1970s, when Casimano was working in the Diocese of Orange in CA. One accuser had already reported his abuse to the Diocese of Orange in 2002, but did not file suit until he learned that Casimano was working at a high school. Ordained in 1975 in the Diocese of Gallup, NM, Casimano began serving in the Diocese of Orange shortly after it was created in 1976. As of 2005, the Diocese of Orange had reportedly paid $4.2 million to settle lawsuits regarding sexual abuse allegedly perpetrated by Casimano.
