Donald Wren Kimball
Ordained: 1969
Although Donald “Don” Kimball left the priesthood in 1990, he was still under investigation in 2000 for child molestations allegedly occurring when he was a priest, throughout the 1970s and 1980s. At that time, he was a pastor working in Sonoma County and hosting a national radio show for youth and teens. In 2002, he was arrested and convicted of molesting a girl in Healdsburg in 1981. Eight women testified at his trial that he had sexually assaulted them. Kimball’s Santa Rosa bishop, John Steinbock, was aware of his sexual misconduct as early as 1987, and Kimball admitted to it in 1990. He was suspended from priestly duties that year.
