Efrain Rozo Rincon

Efrain Rozo Rincon was ordained for the Archdiocese of Bogota, Colombia. In 1967, he was given permission to serve in the Los Angeles Archdiocese. He was assigned to St. Clement Church in Santa Monica. He left the Archdiocese shortly thereafter in 1969. In 2006, Rozo Rincon confessed under oath to sexually abusing his nephew and showing him porn in 1967-69 while working in Los Angeles parish . He also confessed to fondling a 14-year-old seminarian in Colombia before his relocation to Los Angeles. When the taped confession was broadcast, the Colombian seminarian claimed that Rozo had not just fondled him, but had raped him. In 2007, a Colombian church tribunal cleared Rozo on canonical statute of limitations grounds.
