In 2011, Gerald Wertz was accused of repeatedly sexually abusing a 15-year-old student at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower in 1993-1994. Wertz was a teacher and counselor. The boy allegedly reported the abuse at the time and Wertz was not disciplined.
