Gilbert Meyer

On January 2, 2019, the Diocese of Monterey released a list of 30 clergymen who have been “credibly accused” of sexually abusing children. Gilbert Meyer was listed as a credibly accused priest not previously released to the public. The diocese acknowledged that it received reports of sexual abuse involving Meyer in 2010 arising out of incidents occurring between 1961-1964. Meyer is reportedly retired and no longer serving in the ministry.
