Gustavo Benson

In 1987, while serving as the pastor of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Barstow, Gustavo Benson was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for molesting an altar boy. He pleaded no contest and was sentenced to three years’ probation. He became a registered sex offender and was ordered to enter a church counseling program in New Mexico. In 2002, it was reported that Benson had become the pastor of St. San Judas Ta Deo Church in Ensenada, Mexico, located within the Diocese of Tijuana.
