Joseph D. Pina

Joseph D. Pina is accused of abuse of two girls, one in the 1970s. He was placed on permanent inactive leave in 1999. After leaving the priesthood, Pina worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District as a community outreach coordinator from at least 2002 until 2011-12 and part-time until 2013. The Los Angeles Archdiocese said Monday that it had warned the L.A. Unified School District of concerns it had with Pina before the school system hired him in 2002. A police investigation occurred in 2002, In 2003, Pina was named in civil lawsuit. He was laicized in 2006.
