Loren Riebe
Ordained: 1970
After ordination, Loren Riebe spent four years at St. Anne’s Parish in Santa Monica. In 1974, he moved to Mexico and spent the next 21 years ministering to indigenous in Mexico. He was expelled by the Mexican government in 1995 due to political activism. He is believed to have worked in the Diocese of Phoenix in 1996-1997. In 2008, the Los Angeles Archdiocese began notifying dioceses throughout the country that it had several credible allegations against Riebe of sexual misconduct with minors dating from the early 1970s. Riebe is still currently incardinated in the Diocese of San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico.
