Martin O'Loghlen
Ordained: 1961
Martin O’Loghlen allegedly abused a girl in 1965-1968. He served as principal of Damien High School in La Verne from 1970 to 1980. O’Loghlen held several leadership positions within the church and served on the Archdiocesan Sexual Abuse Advisory Board, which is meant to review accusations of sexual abuse by priests. In 2011, the Archdiocese removed him from current assignment at Holy Name of Mary Church in San Dimas — when he had been serving for two years — and admitted that it failed to fully consult the records in O’Loghlen’s personnel file that showed he had admitted to a sexual relationship with a high school girl in 1960s. The vicar of clergy in charge of checking records resigned.
