Michael D. Buckley

Michael Buckley was accused of sexual abuse between between 1965-1975 at three different parishes: Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Monrovia, St. Francis Hospital in Lynwood, and St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church in Lomita. According to Los Angeles Archdiocese personnel files, eight victims of sexual abuse have come forward against Buckley. Several victims were abused for a period of five or more years. The same personnel files reveal numerous complaints from parents — including demands that he be removed from his position — dating back to the mid-1960s. In 1994, Buckley’s faculties were suspended and he was relieved of duties at Immaculate Conception Church, New Cuyama. Buckley retired in 1997.
