Pierre Albalaa
Ordained:
Pierre Albalaa was a Maronite Rite priest with authority to practice within both Maronite and Latin Rite churches. Albalaa moved to the U.S. from Lebanon in 2002 and began serving at St. Jude’s in Westlake, California. Soon thereafter, Albalaa began a Maronite Catholic Church of his own in the San Fernando Valley, which met at St. Bernadine’s in Woodland Hills, California.
According to the Los Angeles archdiocese’s records, Albalaa left the archdiocese in 2007. In 2018, Albalaa was suspended from ministry at Sacred Heart Church in Columbus, OH by the Diocese of Columbus due to a credible allegation that he sexually abused a minor in 2004 at Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles.
