Thomas A. Porter is accused of abuse of at least one minor from 1966-1968. He has was on inactive leave from 1968-1973 and was laicized in 1973. In 2002, he notified the Vicar for Clergy that the Oxnard Police Department was investigating an allegation that he had sexually abused a minor 35 years earlier during his assignment at Santa Clara Church. He has been named in at least one civil lawsuit.
