Thomas Neary

On January 2, 2019, the Diocese of Monterey released a list of 30 clergymen who have been “credibly accused” of sexually abusing children.  Thomas Neary was listed by the diocese as a deceased priest against whom “plausible” allegations of sexual abuse have since surfaced.  Specifically, the diocese acknowledged that it received reports of sexual abuse involving Neary in 2013 arising out of an incident occurring in 1958.  Neary died in 1983.
