Thomas Duffin was one of 10 brothers and two laymen accused by more than 30 men in a 2013 civil case of abuse at three Chicago schools run by the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers North American Province. It is unclear if the order has substantiated any of the allegations against the accused brothers. Unlike many dioceses, the Christian Brothers do not publicize the names of credibly accused clergy.
