Malachy McGinn

Born in Ireland, Malachy McGinn was ordained in the Diocese of San Diego in 1961. McGinn played an important role in establishing the Diocese of San Bernardino, which was founded in 1978 and includes churches located in the counties of San Bernardino and Riverside, which were previously included in the Diocese of San Diego. According to a list of priests credibly accused of sexual misconduct released by the Diocese of San Bernardino in October of 2018, McGinn has been credibly accused of child sexual abuse incidents occurring in 1969 and 1981. McGinn died in 1997.
