In 2005, Paul R. Shanley was convicted of sexually abusing a boy in the 1980s. Incardinated in the Archdiocese of Boston, Shanley may have served in the Diocese of San Bernardino as an extern without faculties. Shanley’s name was included on a list of priests credibly accused of sexual misconduct released by the Diocese of San Bernardino in October of 2018.
