Angel Crisostomo Mariano

In 1998, while he was serving as associate pastor at Most Holy Trinity in San Jose, CA, Angel Cristostomo Mariano arranged to meet with two teenage boys in a parking lot in Campbell, CA, after posing as a woman online. A police officer approached their car while Mariano was performing oral sex, and Mariano was arrested and convicted of felony oral copulation with a minor. It has been reported that Mariano had been reprimanded by the Jesuit order for sexual misconduct prior to his conviction. Mariano completed a sex offender treatment program at St. Luke’s Institute and became a registered sex offender. He went on to live at the Sacred Heart Jesuit Center in Los Gatos, CA. In 2002, he was accused of being amongst several priests and brothers who sexually abused developmentally disabled workers there in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Mariano died in 2002.
