According to a list of priests credibly accused of sexual misconduct released by the Diocese of San Bernardino in October of 2018, in 1994, it became aware of allegations that Father “Bernie” Waltos had engaged in the sexual abuse of minors from 1984-1990. Waltos died in 1992, and his name was first made public in association with these allegations on the 2018 list.
