Edward Anthony Rodrigue

In 1979, Edward Anthony Rodrigue was convicted of the 1978 sexual assault of a boy in Ontario, CA. He was sentenced to probation. In 1980, he began receiving psychiatric treatment at Cavena Treatment Facility in Azusa, CA. Rodrigue was removed from ministry in 1983 and was laicized in 1992. In 1998, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the molestation of a developmentally disabled boy he was babysitting. In 2003, two brothers filed a lawsuit alleging that Rodrigue had sexually abused them from 1971-1982. According to a list of priests credibly accused of sexual misconduct released by the Diocese of San Bernardino in October of 2018, Rodrigue has passed away.
Edward Anthony Rodrigue was known as “Father Tony.”
