Eugene A. Maio

Eugene Maio has been accused of the 1963 sexual abuse of a student at Marymount High School in Los Angeles, CA. The lawsuit that named him as an abuser resulted in a settlement. He may have been laicized in 1970. He went on to teach Spanish at the University of Akron until his retirement in 1996, after which he began working in church programs in Santo Domingo. Maio is named on the 2004 list of priests credibly accused of sexual misconduct released by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
