According to a list of priests credibly accused of sexual misconduct released by the Diocese of San Bernardino in October of 2018, in 1998, it became aware of allegations that Fidencio Silva-Flores engaged in child sexual abuse in 1979-1985 and 1995 in Oxnard and Lynnwood, CA. The incidents from the early eighties involved the alleged abuse of eight boys at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Oxnard, CA. Silva-Flores was removed in 1998, when he was serving at St. Philip Neri in Lenwood, CA. In 2002, he was charged with 25 counts of felony child molestation. Silva-Flores is considered permanently banned from ministry in the Diocese of San Bernardino and is believed to be in Mexico.
