Jerold W. Lindner

In 2010, William Lynch was charged with the physical assault of Jerold Lindner. At his 2012 trial, Lynch testified that he did so because Lindner had repeatedly raped him and his brother when they were children. Lynch had received a settlement from the Jesuit religious order for his abuse in 1998, but Lindner had never been criminally charged, and the criminal statute of limitations had expired. During the course of Lynch’s assault trial, witnesses alleged that they, too, had been abused by Lindner when they were children. A jury acquitted Lynch of the assault charges.
