Owen da Silva

Born in Santa Barbara, CA, in 1906, the allegations against Owen da Silva are amongst the earliest allegations of child sexual abuse made against clergy in California. Pleadings filed in a 2004 civil lawsuit refer to the account of a former altar boy who served with Owen da Silva and who alleged that da Silva sexually abused him at a seminary from 1936 until 1937. Da Silva died in 1967.
Owen da Silva’s birth name was Bill Silva.
