Catholic Priest

Philip McCrillis

Ordained: 1961

In 2004, Philip McCrillis was accused of the sexual abuse of the two daughters of an adult woman with whom he was having a sexual relationship. The abuse allegedly occurred in the 1960s, and the girls attended St. Albert the Great in Palo Alto, CA, where McCrillis served from 1966-1969. When McCrillis was transferred to St. Patrick Seminary in Menlo Park, CA, he allegedly brought the girls to the seminary and abused them there. After these allegations came to light, McCrillis was permanently banned from ministry. The sisters’ lawsuit settled out of court. McCrillis died in 2007.
