Rino Spada

On January 2, 2019, the Diocese of Monterey released a list of 30 clergymen who have been “credibly accused” of sexually abusing children.  Rino Spada was listed by the diocese as a deceased priest against whom “plausible” allegations of sexual abuse have since surfaced.  Specifically, the diocese acknowledged that it received reports of sexual abuse involving Spada in 2011 arising out of incidents occurring between 1967-1969.  Spada died in 2002.
