William G. Allison

Rev. William G. Allison is alleged to have sexually abused numerous children over the years dating back to the early 1960s. Allison was frequently relocated by the church and spent significant time in various diocese located in Arizona, New Mexico, and Louisiana in addition to California. For example, while assigned to a parish in Flagstaff, Arizona, Allison’s supervisor noted in his personnel file that “at least three young men” have disclosed instances of sexual abuse involving Allison. Church records also indicate that Allison spent time at a “treatment center” for abusive clergy known at Servants of the Paraclete in Jemez Springs, New Mexico.
In 2011, the Monterey Diocese was sued over sexual abuse allegations brought by a man who was abused by Allison in the rectory of San Carlos Church back in 1966. The abuse persisted for approximately 18 months and occurred when the victim was just nine years old. Allison was not alive to face the allegations, having died in 1987.
