John Pierson

On January 2, 2019, the Diocese of Monterey released a list of 30 clergymen who have been “credibly accused” of sexually abusing children.  John Pierson was listed by the diocese as a deceased priest against whom “plausible” allegations of sexual abuse have since surfaced.  Specifically, the diocese acknowledged that it received reports of sexual abuse involving Pierson in 1995 arising out of incidents occurring between 1973-1979.  Pierson died in 1992.
