Patrick McHugh

On January 2, 2019, the Diocese of Monterey released a list of 30 clergymen who have been “credibly accused” of sexually abusing children. Patrick McHugh was listed by the diocese as a previously accused priest who is now acknowledged to have worked for the diocese when the abuse occurred. Specifically, the diocese claims that it received reports of sexual abuse involving McHugh in 2002 arising out of incidents occurring in the 1960s. McHugh died in 1979.
