Victor Balbin

Victor Balbin was an extern priest from the Philippines working in the Los Angeles Archdiocese. Balbin was one of seven priests sued in civil suits filed by a 16 year-old girl after the priests allegedly sexually abused her over the course of several years (between 1978 – 1984) in the Los Angeles area. One of the priests impregnated her, after which, she was secreted away to the Phillipines. After the suits were filed, all seven priests fled the country with support from the Archdiocese. The other priests included Santiago (Henry) Tamayo, Henry Caboang, Valentine Tugade, Sylvio Lacar, Rubin Abaya, and Angelo Cruces.
